The Role

As part of our technical team you will play a vital part in helping us and our customers achieve ambitious development projects to help their business grow. You will be client facing and will work within a delivery team, alongside Designers, UX experts, Testers, Business Analysts and Project Managers to deliver a great end product.

The Candidate

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • 2+ years of commercial development experience.
  • An expert level knowledge of JavaScript, ES6+ and a working knowledge of TypeScript/Flow and Webpack.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript Frameworks / Libraries (React / Angular 4 / Vue.js / Redux / MobX).
  • Experience of Node.js or knowledge in a related server side language.
  • Excellent knowledge in frontend web technologies (HTML5 and SCSS). An understanding of responsive frameworks and modern CSS techniques such as Flexbox, BEM, CSS Modules or SMACSS or experience with Bootstrap 4 / Foundation 6 would be beneficial.
  • Working experience of software development and delivery methodologies (TDD, BDD, Agile etc.).
  • Experience of JavaScript testing frameworks (Jasmine, Jest, Mocha etc.)
  • Experience of setting up and working Git repositories and Continuous Integration tools.
  • Experience working with databases and APIs.
  • Passion for technology and the role it can play in making our lives easier.
  • Everyday personal qualities of integrity, collaboration and be intrinsically customer centric in your decision making.
  • A portfolio of previous work.

The Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Development Team and will help to deliver our customers projects.
  • Take user stories and UX and implement these within a working project.
  • Write automated tests (Unit and End to End) to guarantee quality in our projects.
  • Peer review your team mates code and suggest amendments to improve quality and standards compliance.
  • Contribute to internal coding standards.
  • Document functional and none functional changes.
  • Work with our manual test team to ensure sufficient manual testing has been completed.
