All testers on the the team are professionally qualified in Software Testing by internationally recognised examination bodies ISTQB and ISEB. Certification means that all testers have the knowledge and skills to assess how tests are to are to be produced by applying a range of test techniques to ensure that as much risk as possible is mitigated.
Since the 2010 Equality Act was enacted if your website provides a service then it must be accessible by as many people as possible. All testers at leighton have extensive knowledge of the WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and apply these to all the testing we do. We use a wide range of automated tools to assess the build for accessibility and possible colour contrast issues for the sight affected. We run a test suite of test cases to ensure all websites adhere to at least AA compliance.
To ensure that users get the best possible experience from using the digital platforms we build and implement our test team apply their tests across a wide range of desktop browsers. Including Chrome, Safari for Mac, Edge for Windows and Firefox as well as the latest operating systems on the latest mobile devices and tablets.
From project start up to project completion testing is always involved. From reviewing the output of other departments to planning and running tests in all test phases (integration, system, regression) to provided testing sign off on behalf of leighton prior to client User Acceptance.
