Leighton has been ranked 7th in the annual Northern Tech Awards league table in recognition of its revenue growth over the past three years.

The league table, created by leading technology advisory and investment firm GP Bullhound, ranks the top 100 fastest-growing and most successful tech companies in the region and was revealed for 2024 at a ceremony in Manchester in April. The rankings are designed to recognise the fastest growing companies within the sector.

Leighton, who have seen a 31% increased in revenue during the 2024 financial year, recently announced a year of record performance and plans to create over 20 jobs in the next 12 months, as well as revealing investment in its sales, go-to-market and customer success initiatives as part of its next strategy phase.

Speaking on the ranking James Bunting, CEO at Leighton said: “We’re delighted to be included in the Top 100 North Tech Awards league table for the first time.

“Over the last few years, we’ve worked really hard to refine our customer offering, improve our service and delivery and ensure we can continue to meet market demand for our software development services, so to see that come to fruition and experience the growth that we have is a really positive outcome for us.

“By providing software delivery as a service, alongside our established embedded experts offering, we’ve been able to allow our customers to fully outsource their software projects and help them to overcome some of their challenges on-time and within budget. We’re really pleased with what we’ve achieved – especially within the last year – and we’re looking forward to what comes next.”
